We are a small team of talented professionals from Humber College’s Public Relations program with a wide range of skills and experience. This team mobilized quickly to document how organizations were responding to COVID-19 to document a set of cases that can be used in academic settings.

Audrey Wubbenhorst, MA, MBA, ICD.D
Principal Investigator
Audrey Wubbenhorst is a professor and board director. She currently teaches public relations and corporate communications at Humber College where she has received several research grants to research and write case studies on the impact of social media on business.
Prior to joining Humber, Audrey spent over a dozen years at BMO Bank of Montreal. She worked in a wide variety of roles including communications, marketing, human resources and commercial banking. She has served on several boards including the National Diabetes Trust (NDT), Central LHIN, Build Toronto, Toronto Community Housing Corporation and Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.
Audrey has an MA in Communications as well as an MBA. She graduated with a BA (Hons) from McGill University and has a certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from St. Michael’s College (University of Toronto). She has also completed her ICD.D. designation with the Rotman School of Management.

Robert Van Horne
Research Assistant
Robert Van Horne is a student at Humber College enrolled in the Public Relations Advanced Diploma Program and a senior sales coordinator with the Pegasus Hospitality Group.
Prior to his studies, Robert spent 10 years as an event planner developing his passion for communications and learning the ins-and-outs of client relations. Robert has gained an in-depth understanding of the customer experience, from the diverse organizations he has worked for, over the 20 years of his career.

Nikita Ravi
Research Assistant
Nikita Ravi is a student at Humber College enrolled in the Public Relations Advanced Diploma program. Before discovering her passion of public relations, she studied biology at Laurentian University.
Prior to joining this project, Nikita worked at the Greater Sudbury Police Service where she helped organize and execute various events as a Finance and Corporate Communications officer. Last year, she joined the Ontario College of Family Physicians as a member of the Strategic Communications team, where she provided support in media relations and internal communications.
